A blurry image can sometimes simply mean the webcam is not in focus. Have you tried accessing "My Webcam" in the "Messenger" menu? The call quality indicator on the call bar can tell you how good the connection is.
I would love to record videos through it but I don't know how to do it. I can't mute my microphone On Windows XP, if you have previously muted your LifeCam microphone, you will not be able to use the LifeCam Settings tab to unmute or set Disconnect and reconnect the LifeCam. I get an error message that says the camera is currently in use by another application.
I suggest you have them open it and check the connections again. Everything but a fresh Windows install, and whatever programs I use always says no camera is found. The webcam is built in. Have received and can accept the invitation to the video call.
Interestingly if I switch to 'Capture' via Skype settings, it shows my camera is working fine. It's on Vista and all the drivers are up to date.
