It does not play SUB/IDX subtitles reliably. if you did that and still doesnt work then it all depends on the file type, for example if they were mkv its really easy to merge the srt files with I have only been able to get SRT subs to work reliably with it. SRT formats play just fine, but not SUB format. Subrip File Shares do, because it shows you all files in a folder, but Media Shares only serve up certain content.
