So i go to "add media files" and the scan takes 3 seconds, finds 0 files, and that's it.  I entered the correct folder containing my music, and i went and Reinstall Windows Media Player Cheers! He said that under Vista several things were crashing and causing errors, including this WMP disappearance and that was essential for net meetings, etc. I am glad I could help.
