Tried running Program Files\Windows Media Player\setup_wm.exe as Administrator, it launched but said that a newer version of WMP was already installed. The only reason I need Windows Media Player is to transfer DRM audio-books onto my Zen, but no the Windows Media Player is completely and utterly corrupted, it opens, but everything Same results. So i go to "add media files" and the scan takes 3 seconds, finds 0 files, and that's it. I entered the correct folder containing my music, and i went and Reinstall Windows Media Player Cheers! He said that under Vista several things were crashing and causing errors, including this WMP disappearance and that was essential for net meetings, etc. I am glad I could help.
